~~William “Bill” Schwarze of Chatham passed away at Morristown Medical Center on June 24, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 85 Washington Ave in Chatham on Monday, June 29th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Fair Mount Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St in Chatham on Sunday from 3 to 7pm.
Born in Abington, PA and raised in Rose Valley, PA, Bill has also lived in New York City before moving to Chatham 30 years ago. He was a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in Finance. Bill worked his entire career in finance including the firms Hypovereinsbank, Safmarine and Morgan Stanley. A long time parishioner at St. Patrick Church, he was a past chair of the finance committee and volunteered on the Appalachian Outreach Program. He was also a member of the Advancement Cabinet at Mount St. Mary’s Academy. Bill was a true renaissance man. He will be fondly remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends and how it was so easy for him to make people feel comfortable wherever he was.
Bill was the beloved husband of 35 years to Joanne Killeen. He was the loving father of Kilana and Shane Schwarze and loving father-in-law to Shane’s wife Kelly. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Susan Burrell and Christine Knerr and her husband Doug.
