~~Walter L. Paul, 92, of Summit passed away on September 4, 2017. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave in Summit on Friday, September 8th at 10:45am. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery. Friends are invited to gather at Bradley, Brough & Dangler’s, 299 Morris Ave., in Summit on Thursday, from 4 to 8pm. Born in Newark, the son of Frank and Catherine Paul, Walter was a lifelong resident of Summit. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII aboard the USS Missouri, the ship on which the peace treaty was signed. A Water Maintenance Service Specialist at the American Water Company where he worked for 44 years, Walter was also a Process Server for the Union County District Court for 60 years. He enjoyed time spent with family and playing golf.
Walter was the beloved husband of 67years to Marion. He was the loving father of Carolyn Donato (Carl), Katherine Fultz (Frederick) and Walter Paul, Jr. (Penni Trionfo). He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Dr. Meredith Carbone (Dr. Ryan Doyle), Matthew Carbone, Gwendolyn Paul and Kyle Paul and great grandson Cameron Doyle.
