Roseanne M. Sodano
07/17/1941 - 12/01/2019

Roseanne M. Sodano (née Corbo), long time resident of Chatham Township, passed away on Sunday, December 1, at the age of 78.  There will be a Memorial Gathering to celebrate her life on Sunday, December 15, 12:00 – 4:00 pm, at Bradley Funeral Home, 345 Main Street Chatham, NJ.  Friends and family are encouraged to attend

Roseanne was born in Newark, NJ and lived her entire life in the state. After graduating from Bayley-Ellard High, Roseanne married soon thereafter and began raising a family with husband Joe. Throughout her many years in the Green Village/Chatham area, Roseanne’s extended circle of dear friends was always growing. Known for her eternal kindness to others and her simple outlook on life, Roseanne served as a role model for all when dealing with adversity, embodying accountability, and being selfless for the benefit of others.

Roseanne spent many years as a part of the Great Swamp Greenhouses family business, whom she was proud to include as part of her extended family. A lover of all things related to plants, it was fitting that Roseanne worked as a grower for so many years, surrounded by the flowers and plants she loved so much. Whether raising children or plants, Roseanne was fiercely dedicated to supporting and nurturing life, guided by her strong faith and her innate nature to always extend respect, benevolence, and compassion to those around her.

Roseanne was preceded by her husband Joseph, daughter Barbara, and brother Frank. Roseanne is survived by her sister Theresa Cooke of Montrose, PA; her three children: Maria Sodano of Whippany, Michael Sodano of Long Valley, and Joseph Sodano of Waxhaw, NC. She is also survived by her Daughter-in-Law Kathleen. Roseanne was blessed with four grandchildren; Sara, Daniel, and Matthew of Waxhaw, NC, and Star Barkman of Chester. She was also blessed with many dear family members and friends too numerous to mention. She will be truly missed.
