Robert Bowler

Robert B. Bowler, 86, passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital on January 15, 2013. He was born in Milford, NH and raised in Union, NJ, the youngest of six children. Bob was exceptionally skilled in all forms of construction and mechanics. Bob built his family’s home in Chatham Twp. at the age of 26, where they’ve lived since 1952. Bob served in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He worked as a foreman for IBEW Local 52 until retirement. Bob was an avid saltwater fisherman, and particularly enjoyed spending time on his boat fishing for blue fish, fluke and stripers. He could always be found woodworking and tinkering around the house.


Husband of 64 years to Audrey Bowler of Chatham Twp. Beloved father of three: Linda Clymer (Bob) of Long Valley; Robert Bowler (Cindy) of Phillipsburg, NJ; and Stephen Bowler (Diane) of Tyngsboro, MA. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.


Donations in his memory can be made to the Valerie Fund, 2101 Millburn, Ave., Maplewood, NJ 07040. A memorial service will be held on March 16th at 10:30am at the William Bradley Funeral Home in Chatham, NJ.
