Matthew Paul Klein, 21, of Springfield, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Overlook Hospital.
Matthew was born on September 21, 1995 in Livingston, New Jersey. He was the son of Mr. Glenn Klein and Mrs. Lisa Kaufherr.
He was a graduate of Jonathan Dayton High School, Springfield, NJ and attended Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Matthew worked as a groundskeeper for Ash Brook Golf Club, Scotch Plains, NJ. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, and loved playing video games.
He is survived by his parents; Glenn Klein and wife Maureen and Lisa Kaufherr and husband Lawrence. He is survived by his siblings; Juliana Monticello, Michael Sasso, Tyler Klein and Samantha Kaufherr. In addition, he is survived by his maternal grandparents; Nick and Josephine D’Achille, paternal grandmother, Rosalie Klein and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his grandpa, Richard Klein.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, New Jersey 07081. An interment will follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit, NJ. In Matt’s memory, donations can be directed to St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
