Plan for the Future
Mary Masucci was born in Newark, New Jersey, and lived in South Orange for
many years before moving to Chatham. She was a member and volunteer for many
organizations including the Seton Jr. League; the Jr. Auxiliary of Columbus Hospital;
Caritas of Our Lady of Sorrows; Seton Hall Prep Mothers Club; Parents Club of the
Academy of St Elizabeth and the Morris Museum. She was an active member of
Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange, St Teresa’s Church in Summit and
Corpus Christi in Chatham. She worked at Seton Hall University where she was a
secretary to the Rector of the College Seminary. Mary is best remembered for her
devotion to her faith, her love of family and friends, her generous spirit and her
Christmas cookies. In her words, she is leaving behind her “wonderful family”. Her
Son Louis Masucci Jr. and his wife MaryAnn, her daughter Mary Jo Guida and her
husband Robert, her son Ferdy Masucci and his wife Christiana, her son Joe Masucci,
Catherine Masucci and her 11 grandchildren who she called the “wind beneath my
wings” Liz, Matt, Ali, Lara, Gabrielle, Zander, Augie, Charlotte, Maggie, Clare and Joe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10am at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd., Chatham Twp. Entombment will follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2-7pm at the Bradley Brough & Dangler FH, 309 Springfield Ave., Summit.
