Leonora C. “Lea” Ebert, 84 of Springfield, New Jersey passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 4, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Leonora was born on July 14, 1933 in Queens, New York. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Gertrude (nee O’Brien) Conway. She grew up in Glendale, NY before moving to Nutley, NJ where she raised her family. She settled in Springfield where she resided for the past 20 years.

She was an active parishioner of St. James the Apostle Church, Springfield, NJ where she was a member of the travel club and often volunteered.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, solving crossword puzzles and watching jeopardy every night. Lea loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Lea is survived by her husband of 55 years, George T. Ebert. She was the loving mother of Greg and wife Michele, Tom, Dave, Robert and wife Jennifer and daughter-in-law, Suzanne. She was the cherished Mimi of John, Cassidy, Jake and Quinn. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Jean Dwyer. She was predeceased by her son, Gerard.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. Cremation will be private.
