Leonard Pendergast Lisner

Leonard Pendergast Lisner, 94, died peacefully on April !8, 2018.

Born in New York City, Lee lived in Short Hills for over 50 years. He attended the Canterbury School and Cornell University for a semester then left to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he received his BS from Georgetown University and MBA from Rutgers University.

Lee served proudly in the army airforce during World War II from 1943-1946.  He served in the reserves until 1976 and was honorably discharged as Lt. Colonel.  He worked in the pharmaceutical industry and retired from Bristol Meyers-Squibb, NY, NY as Director, International Market Development.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Lyn; his children, Amie of Short Hills; Peter of Lee’s Summit, MO; Lydia of Richmond, VA, and five grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Words of Remembrance at 12:30pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00pm on April 26th at St. Rose of Lima, Short Hills.
