Lawrence E. Tranquilli, 71
With profound sorrow, the family of, Lawrence Elliott Tranquilli, announces his passing on March 18, 2015. Larry took his last breath alongside the woman that took his breath away, Wilma (nee Chirgotis) Tranquilli, daughter, Alisa, and sons Michael and Peter. He is also survived by son-in-law, Bob, and two cherished granddaughters, Alaina and Kara.
The youngest son of 10 siblings, Larry was born and raised in Summit, NJ. After graduating Summit High School in 1961, Larry became an elite member of the 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Division, 1st Brigade. Upon honorable discharge, Larry married his high school sweetheart, Wilma, and raised three children in Chatham Twp., NJ. Larry was the Vice President of National Home Planning Service for 25 years and the President of The Home Plan Group for 10 years before retiring in 2010. He was privileged to be a Master Mason celebrating 39 years, 364 days a member of the Masonic brotherhoods in the West Orange Lodge #205 and Livingston Lodge #11. He was also a member of the Supreme Lodge of the Order of AHEPA, Newark Eureka Chapter #52, for 38 years. An avid golfer, Larry was credited with two holes-in-one, proving both skillful and lucky.
A funeral service is being held promply at 10am, on Saturday, March 28, at the All Saints Church in Millington, NJ, followed by a private reception.
