Juana Candelario, 85, of Irvington, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Juana was born on August 28, 1932 in Lares, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Severio Rios and Juana Santiago.
She was a beloved companion, loving mother and cherished grandmother. Juana had a great sense of humor, was strong-willed, and “it was her way or the highway.” Juana loved flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
Juana is survived by her companion, Agustin. She was the loving mother of Yolanda, Carmen (Rick), Zaida (Miguel), Merecedes (Jose), Milagros (Mark), Ana (Cano), and Julio (Sarah). She was also the grandmother of Aldin, Israel, Ivette, Javier, Julio, Jr., Jeremiah, Tony, Elizabeth, Gina, Benjamin, Jr., Rachel, Sylvia, Marco, Belinda, Lisette, Lenny, Jennifer, Carlos, Jr., Edwin, Melissa, Eric, Alina, Christina, Jessica, Rebecca, Nikki, AJ, 44 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. In addition, she was survived by her siblings; Ines, Blanca, Theresa, Benita, Ramon, Geno and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Juana was predeceased by her children; Ramona, and Benjamin, Sr. and siblings; Generosa, Maria, Nelida, and Hilario. She was loved by so many and will forever and always be in our hearts.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home 1100 Pine Ave, Union NJ 07083. A prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. An entombment will follow at Rosemount Memorial Park, Elizabeth, NJ.
