Josephine Zentz, (nee Chumcka), 98, of Springfield, NJ, passed peacefully on August 3, 2017. Born and raised in Newark, Josephine has lived in Springfield since 1962. She was a ring maker with Premesco Jewelers in Union for many years. She knitted clothes for dolls to be given to children with cancer. Josephine was pre-deceased by her husband Christian Zentz. She is survived by her three children, JoAnn Smith, Nancy Lake and Donald Zentz, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a Prayer Service at 12 pm from the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. Springfield, NJ.
