~~Josephine R. Landolfi, 94, of Union, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017. Born and raised in Elizabeth, Josephine has lived in Union since 1954.
Josephine earned a Bachelor’s degree in education from New Jersey State Teachers College at Newark, where she was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the National Honor Society. She taught for 34 years in the Elizabeth Public School System, at Theodore Roosevelt School #17 and Abraham Lincoln School #14. She was a member of the National Education Association and the New Jersey Education Association. Josephine was also a member of the Connecticut Farms Civic Association, serving as its Membership Chairperson since 1997.
Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Carl Landolfi; Josephine is survived by her daughters Teresa Mott and Carole Ammann; grandchildren Laura, Melissa, Katie and Charlie Mott, and Matthew and Erica Ammann. Josephine is also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:15am at St. Michael’s Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. There will be a visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union.
