Joseph J. Rusignuolo, 71, of Union, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2014. Born and raised in Newark, Joseph lived in Irvington, before moving to Union 24 years ago. Joseph was a warehouse manager for Port Jersey Distributors, in Jersey City, for many years. He was a member of the Irvington Elks, as well as a member of the Republican County Committee. He loved his cat, Charlie, his Harley Davidson, playing golf, playing Poker at the Sands Casino, and at Wednesday and Friday night card games, and rooting for the NY Jets. He loved spending time with the family at their bungalow in Union Beach, where he spent many summers fishing and crabbing. Known for his story telling, he was always quick to reference “The Book”.
Joseph was fiercely loyal to his family, and was a good husband, father and grandfather. He was good to his neighbors and always made friends wherever he went. He will be missed by his wife Carol, daughter Eileen Eordanidis, grandchildren Heather Oset and her husband Matt, Stephanie and Melissa Eordanidis; and sister Josephine Barrett. He is predeceased by his son Andrew.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11:30am at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
