~~Jeannette M. Pietrucha, 85, of Chatham Township passed away at Morristown Medical Center on January 11, 2015. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd, Chatham, on Tuesday, January 13th at 12:30pm. Interment is private.
Born in Harrison and raised in Bloomfield, Jeannette also lived in Newark before moving to Chatham in 1970. In her younger years, she had worked as a secretary in New York City. Jeannette later became licensed as a real estate agent and began her career with Weichert Realtors in Chatham. A member of the exclusive “Million Dollar Club” she worked for 25 years until her retirement. Jeannette was a longtime parishioner at Corpus Christi and a member of the Chatham Suburbanites. She loved reading, sewing, arts and crafts and playing bridge. Jeannette will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family and how she was always willing to help a friend.
Jeannette was the beloved wife of 60 years to Peter Pietrucha, Sr. She was the loving mother of Joan Pietrucha Furman and her husband the late Robert Furman, Carolyn Pietrucha Masserang and her husband Keith, Peter Pietrucha, Jr., Robert Pietrucha and his wife Wendy, and Donna Pietrucha. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Holly, Christie, Adam, Melissa, Bryan, Robert, Jr., Victoria and Bradley, and dear sister Louise Stewart. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeannette’s memory may be made to Chatham Emergency Squad, 45 Spring St, Chatham, NJ 07928.
