Herbert Bell Sr., 80, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 26th.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Herb has lived in Springfield for over 30 years. He worked as a custodian at Jonathan Dayton Regional High School for 17 years. He was a member of the Mountainside and Springfield Elks for many years, and served as Past Exhalted Ruler in Mountainside. He enjoyed bowling and golfing with his friends, but above all, spending time with Betty, his longtime partner and their canine companion Fifi.
Herb is survived by his partner Elizabeth “Betty” Hummer; a brother Leon Bell; son Herbert L. Bell Jr.; and many other loving friends.
