Helene Sinclair, 85, of Summit passed away on June 8, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave in Summit on Tuesday, June 13th at 10:45am. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Brough and Dangler Funeral Home on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Born in the Richmond Hill section of Queens, the daughter of John and Helen Moore, Helene resided in Summit and Guilford, Connecticut for many years before returning to Summit in 2009. She was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle. Helene worked for many years as a realtor with Weichert Realty until her retirement in 1994. She was an active parishioner at St. Teresa’s where she was a Eucharistic Minister and was among the first members of the Loaves and Fishes program. A longtime emergency medical technician, Helene served as an active member of the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad from 1976 to 1993, and was elected to several leadership positions including Trustee and Personnel Lieutenant. After retiring from the squad, she was voted into Life Membership. She also was a member of the Alumni Board of the College of New Rochelle and served as president of the Summit Area Chapter.

Helene was the beloved wife of the late Dr. W. Robert “Bob” Sinclair, who was a research scientist at Bell Laboratories for nearly 40 years. She was the loving mother of Robert Sinclair (Shelley), Michael Sinclair (Colleen), Matthew Sinclair (Maureen) and Maura McBride (Patrick). She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Bailey and Riley McBride and Cathleen and Shannon Sinclair and dear sister Valerie Brodzinski (John). In lieu of flowers, donations in Helene’s memory may be made to the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 234, Summit, NJ 07902
