~~George J. Danco, Jr., 70, of Florham Park, NJ died July 25, 2016 in Morristown, NJ.

George was the son of George and Isabel Danco of Summit, NJ. He is survived by his brother Michael M. Danco, now living in South Carolina, and brother Dr. Jeffrey C. Danco of Bridgewater, NJ, as well as his sisters-in-law Patricia and Jayne and nephews Michael, Joshua, James and Kevin and niece Jessi.

George graduated from Park University in Missouri. He served as the public information officer for the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and Division on Civil Rights from 1982 to 1990 under Governor Tom Kean. He was employed by the Daily Record newspaper as a reporter and copy editor and went on to work for the Recorder Publishing Company as an editor of the Echoes-Sentinel and Florham Park Eagle.

Friends and family may pay their respects during a viewing from 6-9 PM Friday, July 29, at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. During the visitation, a memorial service officiated by Pastor Steve Nash will be conducted at 8 PM.
