Loving Husband, Father, and Brother
Francis A. Chiaramonte, 77, of Millburn, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Francis was born on November 22, 1936 in Millburn, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Josephine (nee De Samone) Chiaramonte.
Frank was a graduate of Millburn High School, Millburn, NJ. He was a star athlete in baseball and was considered the utility player. He was a lifetime resident of Millburn and was married to Lydia B. Chiaramonte for 54 years. He was drafted and served in the United States Army. Frank loved baseball and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Frank started Chiaramonte Landscaping and had great work ethic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lydia B. Chiaramonte. He was the father to Christopher and wife Meghan of Millburn, NJ and Anthony Chiaramonte of Millburn, NJ. He is also survived by two sisters; Rose Sinacori and Beatrice Russo, and four grandchildren; Christopher, Patrice, Julie, and Michael Chiaramonte. He is predeceased by his beloved son, Jeffrey and his wife; Mary Anne and sister, Mary Chiaramonte.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, New Jersey 07078-2529. An entombment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Millburn, NJ.
