Florencia Ramos, 88, of Bridgeport, CT passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 15, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel, 1212 Kelly St. in Union on Monday, August 20th at 9:15am. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Born and raised in Lares, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Antonio and Zoila (Hernandez) Rodriguez Florencia came to the United States in 1963. First settling in Newark, she had lived in Bridgeport for the past 43 years. Florencia was a homemaker and in her earlier years worked as a machine operator and a cook at a restaurant. She enjoyed playing dominos and loved to cook but her true passion was to love her children and grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered as an adorable, sweet woman who always thought about others before herself and would always give help to those in need.
Florencia was the beloved mother of Norberto Ramos (Miriam), Hiram Ramos (Lourdes), Nilsa Segarra (Ismael), Elsie Maldonado (Ivan), Lucy Ramos, Daisy Ramos, Ivan Ramos (Mildred), Ruben Ramos (Delia) and Luis Ramos (Debbie). She is also survived by her cherished 33 grandchildren, over 50 great grandchildren, and her 12 siblings.
