Eva U Antes (nee Krambach)

Eva U. Antes, (nee Krambach), of Chatham, NJ, formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Born in Leipzig, Germany, Eva was relocated by her parents to boarding school in England prior to WWII and eventually traveled by boat to the United States after the war. Eva was an executive secretary for American Express in Manhattan, NY. After raising her children on Staten Island, she moved with her husband to Chatham in 2005.

She was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church since living in Chatham. Eva enjoyed painting. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 58 years, Vincent E. Antes and her brother Rolf Krambach. Eva is survived by her dear children, Vincent Antes and his wife Joyce of Morganville, NJ, Richard Antes and his wife Suzanne of Somers, NY, Barbara Boyd and her husband Thomas of New Providence, NJ, and Michelle Ryan and her husband Vincent of Tenafly, NJ, grandsons Vincent, Robert, Bradford, Blake, Kevin, Sean, and Richard, granddaughters Jillian, Erica, Rebecca, and Ashley and great grandson Ryan and several nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 9:30 am at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd., Chatham Township. Interment St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham.
