~~Eugene J. Lloyd, 83, of Washington Borough passed away at the Lopatcong Care Center in Phillipsburg on May 1, 2015. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1212 Kelly St, Union at Wednesday, May 6th at 10:15am. Interment is private. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave, Springfield on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm.
Born in Newark, Eugene lived in Union for many years before moving to Washington Borough. He had worked for many years as a janitor with Green Thumb Day Care in Morristown and later at various senior programs in Washington. Eugene was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed fishing.
Eugene was the beloved brother of George, James (Helen) and Wayne (Virginia). He is also survived by his dear friend and caregiver Joan Strohl. He is predeceased by his brother Donald.
