Edna Cardinal Cook, age, none of your darn business, a lady never reveals her age, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday February 4, 2014. Born in Summit, Edna has lived in Springfield all her life. She was an executive secretary for Conmar Industries, Newark, and a member of St. James the Apostle Church, Springfield.
Predeceased by her husband John, siblings Edward Cardinal, Jack Cardinal, Isabelle West and Frank E. Cardinal and nephew Darren Cardinal, Edna is survived by her nieces and nephews Nancy Poetz, Ed Cardinal Jr., Donald Cardinal, Diane Cardinal-Seidel and Debra Cardinal McGovern, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at noon at St James the Apostle Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave., Springfield. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. There will be a visitation on Friday from 5-8pm at the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.
