Doreen Elizabeth (Parise) Bender, 68, of Summit, New Jersey passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Doreen was born on September 11, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick J. and Dorothy A. (nee Grey) Parise.
Doreen worked as a Global Clinical Trial Coordinator for Novartis for over 10 years. She also worked for AT&T, NCR, and Charlie Browns. She loved spending time with her friends and beloved dog CoCo and especially her nephew and nieces and their children. She was their favorite Aunt and best friend. She always had a surprise or ‘treat’ in her bag and immeasurable love in her heart.
She is survived by her sister, Diane L Palihnich and husband Nicholas J. and her brother, Frederick J. Parise, Jr. and wife Cindy R. She was beloved aunt to Nicholas J. Palihnich III, and wife Kerry, Kristin P. Beene, and husband Travis, Danielle L. Devlin, and husband Patrick, Dina G. Lasorsa, and husband Vincenzo, Cassie Spronk, and husband Ian, and nine grand nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901. An interment will follow in St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
