Donna H. Callaghan, 75, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away at home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Born in Hackensack, NJ, she grew up in Maywood and spent summers on the Jersey Shore. She was a graduate of Bogota High School, Bogota, NJ and attended nursing school.
She was a former member of the Chatham Emergency Squad. After teaching CPR for many years, Donna worked at Overlook Hospital for Atlantic Health Systems as a CPR Coordinator. She was a member of the Chatham United Methodist Church. She loved to travel, most of all, cruising with her family.
She is predeceased by her husband Martin J. Callaghan, Jr. and was the loving mother of Susan of Tinton Falls and Sharyn of Chatham. She is also survived by her brother Edwin Holmberg, two nephews, Eric and Brad, their wives Karyna and Debra, and their children.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at the Chatham United Methodist Church, 460 Main St., Chatham, on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
