Donald J. Vogel, Jr., 40, of Stanhope, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Donald was born on May 22, 1976 in Glen Ridge, NJ. He was the loving son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Geraldine (nee Di Voni) Vogel.
He was a graduate of Whippany Park High School. He furthered his education at Morris County College and received his Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Montclair State University and his Masters in Social Work. Donald received many certificates in both Education and programs in his specific field. He worked as a Family Service Specialist for the Division of Child Protection and Permanency for over ten years.
He was a family man and loved spending time with his cherished family. Don was creative, artistic, and musically inclined. He created and composed many Christian songs which can be found on his youtube.com channel, “Final Chord.” He starred in the movie, Hiding Place in 2010. Donald was steadfast in his beliefs and loved his God.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Tamarin (Tammy) Vogel. He was the beloved father of his four sons; Jacob Sebastien, Elijah Logan, Benjamin Xavier, and Joel Maxx Vogel. He is also survived by his parents Geri and Don Vogel, brother, Pat Vogel and maternal grandmother, Marie Rizzo (Nanny).
A Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. A Celebration of Life will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home. No flowers, please send donations in Donald’s memory to the American Christian School, 126 S. Hillside Avenue, Succasunna, NJ 07876. A fund will be established for Donald’s children. Donald’s wishes were for his family and friends to dress casually for his celebration of life.
