~~ Dolores M. Szarek, 89, of Berkeley Heights, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she lived in Queens, NY, where she attended Nursing School. She then spent 15 years in St. Petersburg, FL before moving to New Jersey 16 years ago. She was a registered nurse, and proud, longtime member of the Kings County School of Nursing Alumni Association.
Predeceased by her husband Frank, and brother Gedamin Kairaitis and his wife Marie; she is survived by her son Michael J. Szarek and his wife Stefanie; grandchildren Andrew, Peter and Elora; niece and goddaughter Debbie Stumpf and niece Wendy Nunn and their families.
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 7pm at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union. The visitation will take place on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at the Lithuanian Independent Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
