~~Diane Carol Sullivan (nee: Donchez), 57, of Chatham, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at her home. Born in Newark, Diane was raised in Union, and attended Kean University where she earned her BS in Marketing, before marrying Jack and settling in Chatham almost 20 years ago.
In the 70s, Diane worked for Modelworks in Madison, as both a model and as their office manager. She also worked as a sales associate at Lord & Taylor, and was most recently working in the Chatham School district as a lunch and playground aide. Diane enjoyed swimming, and was an award winning synchronized swimmer in America and Europe. She taught swimming and water aerobics at the Summit YWCA and the JCC in West Orange. She was also highly instrumental in getting synchronized swimming recognized as an Olympic event.
Diane is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Maria Donchez, and nephew Robert Northrup. She is survived by her husband Jack and their children Kristina and Nicholas; brother James Donchez and his wife Paula; sister in law Kathy Northrup and her husband Steve; and nieces Maya Donchez and Sharon Northrup.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11am at the Wm A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
