Concetta “Connie” Martorano, 96, of Cranford and formerly of Union, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday, July 01, 2019 at Cranford Health & Extended Facility with her children by her side.
Connie was born on March 18, 1923 in Newark, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Margaret (nee LaCapra) Morlino.
She worked at Hahne’s Company, Newark, NJ in receiving and handling and also worked in the cafeteria at Boys Vocational School, Irvington, NJ. Connie was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, Union, NJ. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and cooking. She enjoyed going to the YMCA WISE program at the Methodist Church in Union, NJ.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband James Martorano in 2000. She was the loving mother of son, James Martorano and daughter, Marguerite Martorano. Connie was predeceased by her siblings; Christine and Vincent.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union, NJ 07083. A prayer service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Chapel in Restland Memorial Park with the entombment will follow.
