Carolyn "Carrie" T. Harvis

Carolyn T. (Carrie) Harvis age 73 of Summit, N.J. passed away at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, N.J. on July 17, 2019.

Carolyn was born in Summit, N.J. on May 18, 1946 to the parents of LeRoy & Muriel (Meyer) Towsley. She was the youngest of three.

Carolyn graduated from Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, NJ in 1964. She received her LPN Degree from St. Elizabeth’s in Elizabeth, N.J

Carolyn married her high school sweetheart David J. Harvis on July 26, 1969 at The Little Flower Church in Berkeley Heights. She worked at Overlook Hospital as a nurse from 1966-1978. In 1978, she became a mother and stayed home to raise her son John-David. She was involved in the PTA and school activities. She then worked at Berkeley Heights Convalescent Center in Berkeley Heights N.J. from 1991-2004.

Carolyn was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church. She was an amazingly strong person with a huge heart. She enjoyed helping people, QVC shopping and bargain hunting. She was a life-long community member of Summit, N.J.

She is survived by her son John-David Harvis, wife Jill Harvis, granddaughter Hailey Harvis, sister Marilyn Kroczynski and brother LeRoy Towsley along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
