Carol Ann Olson, 60

Carol Ann Olson of Morristown, NJ died on December 19, 2014 at Morristown Memorial Medical Center after battling cancer. She was 60 years old.

Born December 6, 1954, in Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Ruthmary Gillespie Olson and John Arthur Olson, Jr. of Darien, CT. Carol was a graduate of Darien High School Class of 1973, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut in 1977. She went on to earn her Master’s of Education degree.

She was a dedicated special education teacher for many years in Fairfield County in Connecticut.

Carol is survived by her sister Karen Olson of Summit, New Jersey: and two nephews, Brad Olson and Doug Olson: their spouses Shelley Olson and Laura Olson; as well as grandnephews, Zack Olson and Henry Olson and grandnieces Isabel Olson, Emily Olson and Olivia Olson.

Carol will be remembered by family and friends for her fun loving personality and her dedication to caring for and helping others. Her volunteer work included time with the elderly at Sunrise Assisted Living, homecare visits with the homebound elderly and many volunteer positions with Family Promise and the Center for Spiritual Living.

A memorial service will be held at the Center for Spiritual Living, 331 Mount Kemble Avenue in Morristown, NJ on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00pm. All who knew Carol or the family are welcome to attend.
