Carmine “Jerry” Fusco, 81, of Toms River, formerly of Millburn, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016. Born in Newark, Carmine lived in Springfield and Millburn for many years before moving to Toms River 2 years ago. A veteran of the US Navy, Carmine served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Casa Colombo and 3rd Vice President Commander of the American Legion Post 140, both in Millburn. Carmine enjoyed golfing with friends, dancing and being the life of the party. He had a smile that lit up a room and loved to make people laugh. Predeceased by his sisters, Marie Zarro, Josie Loria and Camille Memoli; Carmine is survived by his former wife Pam Fusco; daughters Kym Tami, Fawn Schweizer and her husband Paul; grandchildren Aidan and Branin Schweizer; his sister Gloria Hornung; and several nieces and newphews. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11am at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield. Cremation will be private.
