Antoinette M. Pacifico, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017.
She emigrated from Italy with her mother and three of her siblings when she was 11 years old. Antoinette married the love of her life, Lenny and raised her family in Springfield.
She was a parishioner of St. James the Apostle Church, Springfield, NJ. Antoinette worked in the cafeteria at Jonathan Dayton Regional High School and loved working with all of the students.
Predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Leonard “Lenny” Pacifico and grandson Jeffrey. Antoinette is survived her children Leonard, Jr. (Becky), David (daughter-in-law, JoAnn), JoAnn), Jeffrey (Sherri) and daughter, Diane; grandchildren Michael, Ashley and Anthony; and great grandchildren Sophia, Sammy and Anthony. In addition, she is survived by her niece Marge and Paul, who took such great care of their aunt, caretaker; Elena, great nephew; Peter Trapani, daughter-in-law; Stella and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Antoinette was predeceased by her siblings; Filomena, Carmela, Nancy and Fred.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 10am at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave., Springfield. Entombment will follow at St. Teresa’s Mausoleum, Summit. There will be a visitation on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Antoinette’s memory may do so, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
