Anthony “Tony” DeNicolo, Jr.

Anthony “Tony” DeNicolo, Jr., 69, of Springfield, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.

Anthony was born on April 14, 1947 in Newark, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony, Sr. and Beatrice (nee Torr) DeNicolo.

He worked in Sales for many years at various local businesses in customer service. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969 as a SP 5.

Tony was devoted to his family and present for all activities; he was everyone’s #1 fan. He was a softball coach for many years for the Springfield Recreation Department. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, fishing and golfing. He loved rooting his favorite team on the, New York Yankees and spending time down the shore in Wildwood, NJ.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Kathleen DeNicolo. He was the loving father of four children; daughters; Traci Miller, Michele Zambrana, Lisa DeLorenzo and her husband Nicholas, and son, Anthony Joseph DeNicolo and fiancé Stacey Sommer. He was the cherished grandfather of Alexis and Alyssa Miller, Jessica, Christian, and Amanda Zambrana, and Gabriella and Olivia DeLorenzo. In addition he is survived by his brother, John DeNicolo and wife Arleen, sister-in-laws; Barbara Schoen, Donna Hicks, and Pamela Heady, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ.
