~~Anna Triff, 95, of Whippany passed away at CareOne at Hanover in Whippany on September 20th. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Whippany Rd, Whippany on Wednesday, September 24th at 10:30am. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whipany Rd on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm.

Born in Nicolau, Romania, Anna came to the United States aboard the passenger ship Leviathan at the age of 4 to her family’s home in the Bronx. At the age of 15 she returned to Romania where she lived until 1960 when she returned to East Hanover and then back to the Bronx in 1970. In 2000 she moved to Whippany. Anna worked as a private caregiver in Manhattan for many years and later as a private nurse at Crestwood in Whippany. She was a long time parishioner at St. Theresa’s Church in the Bronx. Anna will be fondly remembered for her hard work ethic, her generosity but most of all her love and devotion to her family.

Anna was the beloved wife of the late Simon Josef Triff. She was the loving mother of Anna Danecker and her husband Johann. She is also survived by her cherished grandsons, John W. Danecker and Norbert Danecker and his wife Marie. She is also survived by her dear great grandchildren Sean and Ryan. Anna is predeceased by her sister Gertrude. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Ave., Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, N.J. 07927
