Yolanda D. Caggiano, 93, of Whippany, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 06, 2017.

Yolanda was born on June 17, 1924 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pasquale and Mary (nee Carrara) Marino.

Yolanda was a talented seamstress, specializing in creating beautiful wedding gowns and also worked as a sales associate at Macy’s for many years. She was a talented cook, known for her legendary Sunday meatballs & sauce, and she absolutely adored her grandchildren. Yolanda was a devote catholic and enjoyed going to church.

Yolanda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Caggiano, a professional boxer, WWII veteran and Purple Heart recipient, son, Lester Caggiano and sisters Dolly La Conte and Lilly Marino. She was the loving mother of daughter, Annette Besho (Ralph) and son, Joseph Caggiano (Pat) and daughter-in-law, Deborah Caggiano. She was the cherished grandmother of Jeremy, Justin, Alyssa, Joseph, Alexa, Danielle and Joe.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Whippany, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In her memory, donations can be directed to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
