Bill passed away suddenly on Tuesday , February 10, 2021 just days after turning 70 . He was at home in New Providence, New Jersey.

Bill was a 1969 Graduate of Summit High School in Summit , New Jersey. He kept in touch with many of his Classmates all the way until their 50th High School Reunion in 2019. He was well loved and respected by all he met.

Bill and his Dad had a special love of the Mets, and he enjoyed watching them win. Bill enjoyed listening to talk radio to stay caught up on the news. Bill was an active Member of the Lion’s Club of New Providence and the Union County Association for the Blind, and at one time, served as President of each of these Organizations.  Bill appreciated all the guidance and support he received from the Lions Club and Union Country Association of the Blind with all the services they provide to the sight challenged community. The lifestyle support the Organizations provided helped him create an independent and abundant life.

Bill loved to travel and took several Cruises. He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially enjoying great food. Bill lived in a historic home that was handed down in his family. He enjoyed doing home improvements and appreciated the beautiful deck the Lion’s Club helped him build.

Bill is survived by his Life Partner, Sharon Alfonso of New Providence, NJ,  Sister- Kathleen Totten-Hark of Georgetown, TX and Jane Totten DeRose of Rehoboth, Delaware as well as many Nieces, and Nephews throughout the Country.
