William Charles Herbert Stroh III- Loved by Many
William Charles Herbert Stroh III, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Short Hills, NJ on February 3, 2013. Born in New York, he was raised in Orange, NJ and has lived in Short Hills for 50 years. He was a 1948 graduate of Newark Academy. William received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Williams Collge in 1952, his Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Michigan in 1956. He was the Civil Defense and Emergency Management Director in Millburn for many years, he was also a Hamm Radio Operator, call sign K2VDT, another hobby was lock smithing. William was a 1st Lt. in the United State Air Force. He was the President of William Stroh Inc in West New York, NJ for many years, retiring several years ago.
