Plan for the Future
Walter J. Doyle passed away peacefully on December 28, 2011 at the Morris View Health Care Center in Morris Plains, NJ, following a long illness. He was 81 years old.
The son of the late Thomas F. and Margaret Doyle, he is survived by two loving sisters, Dorothy Roach of Morris Township, NJ and Theresa Keane of McLean, VA. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews and 30 great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas F. Doyle and a sister, Margaret Comey.
Born and raised in Washington Heights section of Manhattan, Mr. Doyle attended LaSalle Academy and St. John’s University. He was a member of the United States Air Force serving as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. Mr. Doyle was employed by Texaco for 29 years, retiring in July, 1995. His positions with Texaco took him to Atlanta, GA, Cherry Hill, NJ and Houston, TX. Following his retirement, he was an active volunteer with Katy Christian Ministries in Katy, TX earning the distinction of Volunteer of the Month of July 1999.
