Virginia A Kadri, a longtime member of the communities of New Providence and Madison, NJ, died on Thursday, March 22, 2018. She was 89.
Virginia and her husband, Robert, deceased, were members of the Presbyterian Church in New Providence. She also volunteered at the Overlook Hospital gift shop in Summit.
Virginia had a special love for music and sports. She played the bells in church, the string base in her high school and community orchestras, and also played the piano and accordion. Virginia was an avid seamstress. She sewed quilts, clothes, cute stuffed animals, and Halloween costumes for her grandson. She was also on a bowling team, played tennis, and enjoyed playing bridge and canasta with her close friends. Virginia enjoyed working with her husband for many years on election polls.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Kadri, son, Ron (Nancy) Kadri, sister, Janet (Ted) Bruns, brother, Jim Witzler, and grandson Ryan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28 from 3 – 5 pm and 7 – 9 pm at Bradley and Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 29 at 11:00 am at the Presbyterian Church in New Providence, NJ. Memorials may be made to your charity of choice.
