~~Victor Patrick (Vic) Tyne, 78, of Chappaqua, New York, died in his home on December 25, 2017.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Vic was a graduate of Don Bosco High School and Seton Hall University. Vic loved his wife, Judith, dearly, his children, Kim and Brendan, and his grandchildren, Michele, Megan, and Patrick. Vic is survived by his brothers Barry, Gerald, and Andrew, and his sister, Wendy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winifred and Charles Tyne, and his brother, Jeffrey Tyne.
For those that had the pleasure of knowing him, Vic will remain in their hearts as the embodiment of all that is good with the world. A master storyteller, with a quick wit and dry sense of humor, no one was safe around Vic once he got on a roll. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
Family and friends may call on Friday, December 29th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wm. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30th at 10:00 AM, at Saint Patrick’s Church, 85 Washington Avenue in Chatham, NJ 07928.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions made to Friends of New Castle Parks in Westchester NY. Donations can be sent to Town of New Castle at 200 South Greeley Avenue, New Castle, NY 10514. Please make out to Town of New Castle attention Ike Kuzio – In memory of Vic Tyne. The funds will be used to improve Gedney Park in Chappaqua, which was a special place that Vic loved to play with his children and grandchildren.
