Thomas J. Clarke “Tom,” 81, longtime resident of Union passed away on November 13, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1212 Kelly St. in Union on Monday, November 18 at 10:15am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union on Sunday from 4 to 8pm.
Born and raised in the Bronx, the son of Andrew and Susan Clarke, Tom was a graduate of Grace Dodge High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1956 to 1961. Tom was a Customs Inspector with the United States Customs Service in in Newark for over 30 years until his retirement in 1997. A longtime parishioner at St. Michaels, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of Union, Council #4504.
Tom was the beloved husband of the late Ann E. Clarke. He was the loving father of Thomas Clarke (Marci) and Timothy Clarke (Tina). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Caycie, Ryan, Aidan, and Cassidy, his companion Elizabeth McCaul and her children and grandchildren, his brothers, Terrence Clarke, Andrew Clarke and Vincent Clarke, and his sister, Susan Hickey. He is predeceased by his brother, Patrick Clarke, and his sister, Kathleen Ryan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America, 114 N. Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
