~~Thomas Joseph Bono, 88, of Whippany NJ, passed away peacefully in his sleep after the long, arduous good bye of dementia, on January 14, 2018.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Marie, children Kathy Hyland and her husband John of Redlands, CA, Thomas F. Bono of Whippany, NJ, and Frank S. Bono and his wife Betsy Storey-Bono of Nazareth, PA; grandchildren Matthew Hyland and his wife Jasmine, Benjamin Hyland and his wife Paige, Christopher T. Bono and his wife Laura, Desch Bono and Natalie Bono as well as many other relatives and friends.
Born in Queens, NY on May 19, 1929, Tom served with honor in the US Marines and then attended the Art Institute in Newark NJ. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a love of hunting and especially the quietude of fishing. He was willing to help anybody and his sense of humor was legendary.
