Theresa “Terry” Meier, of Summit, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at home, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born in Newark, Terry was raised in Maplewood, and his lived in Summit for 23 years. Terry was a homemaker, who loved the arts, painting, gardening and was a dog lover. She volunteered with the drama department of Summit High School. She was a selfless volunteer and founding member of the Wings Cancer Support Group, and strove to create awareness of breast cancer, and support for those affected by it.
Terry was predeceased by her father, Ralph Ciccone and brother, Ralph Ciccone. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Rob; sons Chris and Kevin; mother Theresa Ciccone and brother Dennis Ciccone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10:45am at St Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave., Summit. Interment will follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, from 6-9pm at the Bradley Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave., Summit.
