Teresa Ciccimarra

Teresa (Giordano) Ciccimarra, 83 of Morris Plains, N.J. passed away on April 13, 2020 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, N.J.  She was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on March 21, 1937 to the late Michelangelo and Maria Giordano.  She was a graduate of A.B. Davis High School, Mt. Vernon, N.Y. and a longtime resident of Thornwood, N.Y.

Teresa worked as a secretary for the Prudential Insurance Company for ten years before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her three daughters.  She was an active member of the Columbiettes, Knights of Columbus Council #4399.  Teresa enjoyed many arts and crafts and actively participated in the local Home Arts club. Teresa and her late husband Paul, enjoyed traveling especially to Hawaii, Alaska, and Italy.

She is predeceased by her devoted husband Paul Ciccimarra whom she married on September 19, 1959 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Vernon, N.Y.  She is survived by her loving daughters Teresa  (Stefan) Schuele of Whippany, N.J., Paula (Gary Sella) Ciccimarra of Ridgewood, N.J., and Laura (Dominic) Finuoli of Indian Trail, N.C., one brother Nicholas (Marie) Giordano of Durham, CT.  She also is survived by her four cherished grandchildren Lianna, Sabina, Markus and Erica, and predeceased by her brother, Joseph Giordano.

A private family viewing will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, Whippany, N.J. followed by a private graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.  A memorial mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to The Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation are appreciated.
