Stanley (Steve) Wayne, 87, of Union, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.
Born and raised in Newark, Steve has lived in Union for the last 50 years. He was employed with Proven Designs Kitchen for 25 years. A Seabee during WWII, Steve was a Boatswain’s Mate 2/c. Steve was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4504, the VFW Post #2433, and was an usher at the 7:30am mass at St Michael’s Church in Union.
Predeceased by his parents Adolf and Katherine Woyciechowicz; wife Mary; brothers John and Edward; sisters Stephanie and Florence; and son in law Anthony Sepe; Steve is survived by his daughter Karen Sepe; grandchildren Matthew and Nicholas Sepe; longtime companion Ethel Fairweather; sister Amelia Roden ; sister in law Stephanie Woodhour; as well as nieces, nephews and many good friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 14, 2012 at 10:15am at St Michael’s Church, Union. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. There will be a visitation on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home 1100 Pine Ave., Union.
