~~Shirley L. Grenz, 77, of Union passed away at her home on September 23, 2015. A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 2222 Vauxhall Rd, Union on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.
Born in Montclair, the daughter of Helmar and Elizabeth ( Baumeister) Beck, Shirley was a lifelong resident of Union. She was a Partner with Advanced Handling Systems in Kenilworth. An active member at Grace Lutheran Church, Shirley was also a member of the Deutscher Club in Clark, the Steuben Society of America, and the Union Township Historical Society. An animal lover, especially dogs, she also enjoyed gardening. Shirley will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring friend who was always willing to help those in need.
Shirley is survived by her God child Ingrid (Monschke) Pranzo, her husband Joe and children. Cousins Inge Henderson and husband Harley, Eleanor Gray, Heide Pigorsch, the Ulbrich family and sister in law Ursul Munz. In lieu of flowers, donations in the names of the Beck and Baumeister family may be made to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Valerie fund at Overlook Hospital.
