Sherry Ann Schramm, 65, died April 29, 2012 at home in Vienna, Maine after a brave battle with cancer. Sherry lived most of her life in Springfield, NJ before moving with her husband to Maine in 2009.
Daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille (Smith) Bjorstad. Sherry is survived by her husband, Eugene E. Schramm, children, Christopher Schramm of Springfield, NJ and Amy Fiore of Annandale, NJ and four grandchildren, Brian, Alyssa, Charlotte and Tanner.
A hairdresser in the Springfield area for over 40 years Sherry worked in Marion’s Beauty Salon, and Norma’s Salon as well as the hair salon in the Assisted Living Home in Summit, NJ.
Sherry was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Springfield where she dedicated many years as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. She also provided many years of volunteer service with the Springfield First Aid Squad; and was a member of BOTMA (Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Assoc. of NJ)
Sherry will best be remembered for her strength, energy, kindness and laughter. Her joys in life were her family, friends, summers on the lake in Maine, nature hikes and playing bluegrass music with her husband and friends.
