Sebastiana “Bettyanne” J. Casano, 74, of Irvington, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ.
Bettyanne was born on April 17, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry and Julia (nee Di Salvo) Almerico.
She was a graduate of Westside High School, Newark, NJ. Betty was loved by many in the community for her work at The Prescription Counter in South Orange where she was employed for over thirty years and which extended to Rite Aid in her last remaining years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, James Casano in 2006. She was the mother to daughter, Julianne Casano, and sons; Joseph J. and Steven P. Casano. She was the loving grandmother to Freya, Syris, Mateo, Clay, and Lucas. She is also survived by her two nephews, Steve and Chris. She was predeceased by two brothers, Steve and Pat.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ. A funeral service will be Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
