Ruth G. Goodell, 80, of Madison, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2017. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at William A. Bradley Funeral Home, LLC in Chatham, New Jersey. Ruth was born on October 18, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Morristown High School and attained a Stenography Certificate from Stafford Hall Secretarial School based in Summit, New Jersey. Ruth was married to Robert C. Goodell on March 22, 1958. They were married for 59 years. Ruth was employed as an Executive Assistant by Crum & Forster Insurance and Toa Reinsurance Company of America over a period of 15 years. A career highlight was in her role as Administrator of the Crum & Forster Foundation where she presented awards to participants in the annual Special Olympics. While she had a number of talents and interests her focus was always her family. Ruth is survived by her loving husband Robert, two children James and Amy, grandchildren Timothy, Benjamin and Emily, and sisters Jean, Betty and brother William.
