Ruppert R. Marina “Rupe”, of Hillside, passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2019. He was 85.

Born April 1, 1934 to Anna and Rogelio Marin᷉a, Rupe served in the US Navy and was a coal miner before moving to New Jersey. He worked in the oil industry before starting his own oil company, Rupe & Sons Heating Service in Hillside.

He will also be remembered as a fabulous dancer.

Rupe is survived by his wife Linda (nee Monticello); his daughter Dolores of Lyndhurst; son Ralph and his wife Dawn of Freehold; daughter Carol-Ann and her husband Frank of Eatontown; son Joseph and his wife Ann of Freehold; 5 grandsons: Anthony, Michael, Bobby, Christopher and Nicholas; his one and only granddaughter Kristen; his siblings: Elvira of Mahanoy City, PA, Dolores of Ridge, NY and Bernie Rutkowsky of Locust Valley, PA as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Laba.

The family would like to expend special thanks to the hospice staff and his aid, Louie, for keeping him comfortable.
